Carolina is a Social Worker and Master in Applied Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
She is a former Senator for the Region of Magallanes y La Antarctica Chilena, Member of Parliament in two electoral periods, she was a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.
She is currently an academic at the School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Chile and a researcher at the Public Policy Center at the same university.
She’s the author, along with civil society, of the National Cancer Law and executive director of the National Cancer Forum foundation. In her parliamentary work, initiatives that seek to reconcile work life with family life, equal rights and remuneration between men and women, the protection of maternity and paternity stand out. She’s the founder of the “Fundación Todas” that seeks to promote women's leadership in a collaborative way and president of the “Red de Mujeres Humanistas de Latinoamérica”.
